How to Blend Fall Patterns

Posted on September 22 2017

Ah.... the first day of fall! You can feel the crisp air and already see the changing of the leaves. There's always a magical moment for me that happens during this time of year. I begin to get excited about wearing my browns and variations of during this time of year. I love it! How lucky are we to be able to express ourselves with style that mimics the changing of Mother Nature's seasons!
Which brings us to this perfectly executed outfit! Notice the pairing of patterns and how you were once told not to add a pattern shirt with a plaid or windowpane jacket. Now use your own judgement and take a look at our Instagram post on this. See all the likes and the comments on this?! It's because this sophistication of style is incredibly rewarding to the eye and we highly encourage blending patterns this fall!
Take notice of the wool medium brown playing field with ecru windowpane sport coat. The pocket square perfectly accentuates the ecru windowpane. Beneath is the vertical brown and white stripe that also has a wide spread collar. Wide spread collars are a perfect detail to pair with a properly tailored suit. This outfit comes completely together with the solid chocolate woven tie that is smartly placed to tie in the sport coat and shirt.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to have this outfit for yourself!
