SB221 Deco Reverse Sombrero Norwegian
COLOR: Reverse Sombrero
This derby has some added interest in the broguing found along the toe box. It is made in a Norwegian welt construction which utilizes threads of yarn which are woven together with beeswax and glue and are used to sew all three layers of the shoe together by hand. This is a very unique shoe that can be dressed up or thanks to the Norwegian stitching worn casually.
For norwegian welted construction, we take 8 strands of yarn and weave them together with bees wax and glue and stitch the upper, the welt, and the sole toether by hand. Easily recognizable by the row of stitching along the base of the upper, Norwegian Welted benchmade shoes are produced by a handful of Italian shoemakers that covet the hand sewn aesthetic. There are very few workshops still doing Norwegian welting.
